Amapá Minerals completes $142 million Canadian IPO

Amapá Minerals Holdings (TSX:AMAP) has completed its Canadian initial public offering (IPO), raising C$140 million ($142 million).

The company issued about 127.3 million shares at C$1.10 each, according to its prospectus filed last week.

The stock began trading this week on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) under the symbol AMAP. 

The offering was led by Canaccord Genuity and BMO Capital Markets as joint lead bookrunners, alongside a syndicate of underwriters.

Amapá is the second gold miner to debut on the TSX within a week. Cadillac Mines (TSX:CADY) began trading last Friday after completing a C$385 million IPO.

The company’s principal asset is a past-producing gold mine in Brazil that sold more than 1.5 million ounces between 2005 and 2021. Amapá is advancing the project towards re-development.

Amapá Minerals is a gold mining company with its principal asset being the Amapá Project which is situated within the prolific Guiana Shield in Northern Brazil.
