Aguia Resources (ASX:AGR) has brought its CEO Tim Hosking onto the board, appointing him as Managing Director, effective 7 January 2026.
The company says Hosking’s appointment aligns with its progress at the Tres Estradas Phosphate Mine in Brazil, as the company enters its final development stages before beginning mining operations. Mining operations are expected to begin in the next quarter.
Meanwhile, Executive Chairman Warwick Grigor is relinquishing his executive duties and moving forward with Aguia as a non-executive Chairman.
Grigor says it is the right time for Hosking to join the board, making an “excellent contribution to Aguia”.
“He will continue to be based in Brazil and close to our phosphate projects which are advancing favourably,” Grigor says.
“He is also in easy reach and contact with our refreshed management team in Colombia who are progressively improving our operations there.”
Hosking says the company is in a “critical phase in Brazil”, while making strategic decisions for its Colombia unit.
“Direct engagement in these regions will provide the board with important perspectives on our projects, market dynamics, and the political environments of the countries in which Aguia operates,” Hosking says.
“I am delighted to be joining the board and helping realise the full value from our asset portfolio which in my view have huge upside.”
Aguia Resources appointed Hosking as CEO in November 2025, following his entry into the company as a Country Manager in Brazil in early 2024, as reported by Mining.com.au.
