ACDC kicks off AC drilling as scoping study finalised

ACDC Metals (ASX:ADC) has begun an extensive aircore (AC) drilling program across its heavy mineral sands and rare earth element (REE) projects in western Victoria, Australia.

The company is completing a Scoping Study for the Goschen Central project and REE processing plant with the results expected to be released Q1 2024.

The study will enable techno-economic evaluations of the projects and map out the next steps of development.

ACDC says the latest drilling program will take 2 months to complete and comprises 7,500m of drilling, aimed to extend potential ‘high-grade’ zones at the Goschen Central Project.

ACDC says the program will also aim to advance the company’s understanding of the opportunities at Watchem North and Douglas projects.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tom Davidson says drilling at Goschen Central will enable potential tonnage and grade improvement highlighted in the recent JORC Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).

“The programs at both Watchem North and Douglas will build upon the great results from our 2023 campaigns, as we work to further expand and develop our portfolio of projects.”

At Goschen Central, 80 holes will be drilled, while at Watchem North drilling will build on work previously undertaken in 2023 at EL7642.

At Douglas, drilling will be conducted on roadsides and infill drilling that was completed in 2023, which will provide ‘greater’ confidence in the project potential.

ACDC Metals is a heavy mineral sand and REE explorer and developer focused on its assets in Victoria, Australia.

As of 30 September 2023, the company had $5.588 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
