WA1 Resources (ASX:WA1) has returned its first lot of assays for 2026 from the Luni Niobium Project in Western Australia.
The company completed 35,000m of drilling in 2025 at Luni, using a combination of diamond, aircore, and mud rotary methods. Results will be used to inform an update resource estimate in 2026.
Infill drilling at the south of Luni returned intercepts including 16m @ 5.6% niobium pentoxide, 9.4m @ 9.3% niobium pentoxide, 10.7m @ 6.1% niobium pentoxide, and 31.5m @ 2.6% niobium pentoxide.
WA1 also extended mineralisation over 400m at the east of Luni, with assays such as 28m @ 2.5% niobium pentoxide, including 17m @ 3.8% niobium pentoxide, and 29m @ 1.4% niobium pentoxide, including 14m @ 2.5% niobium pentoxide.
Mineralisation has been extended beyond the current resource estimate envelope.
Managing Director Paul Savich says the drill results provide “exceptional intersections within a coherent blanket of mineralisation in the south of Luni and continue to increase definition of the highest-grade zones”.
“More broadly, site activities in 2025 collected high-quality diversified datasets to inform our project development studies, permitting, and approvals workstreams,” Savich says.
“This is providing greater insight into fundamental aspects of the project and is allowing more detailed development decisions.
“Site-based activities have now also recommenced for the year.”
WA1 Resources is a Perth-based explorer focused on developing tier-one assets, including the Luni Niobium Project.
