Voltaic Strategic confirms copper-gold presence at Meekatharra

Voltaic Strategic Resources (ASX:VSR) has confirmed the presence of copper-gold mineralisation in structural quartz veins at the Eldinero prospect, part of the company’s Meekatharra Project in Western Australia.

A reconnaissance rock chip sampling program was undertaken which visually confirmed historical gold and copper along several structural trends, extending the surface strike length to 200m.

CEO Michael Walshe says the samples collected, alongside the presence of historical and active quartz vein-hosted shear-related gold deposits, lays the foundation for more detailed exploration.

“We eagerly await the results of the elemental analysis of the samples currently at the laboratory and the follow-up surface exploration program to extend and delineate the mineralised footprint.”

Voltaic Strategic, which has a market capitalisation of $8.19 million, now plans to conduct structural and geological mapping, as well as portable x-ray fluorescence surveys and surface soil programs at Meekatharra.

Once complete, the company will undertake ground truthing and develop a target generation pipeline. During the second and third quarters of 2024, Voltaic plans to extend regional geochemical surveys and detailed mapping across tenure.

From there, the company will launch a maiden drilling program to follow up on targets identified during the geochemical and mapping phases.
