Voltaic finalises next Ti Tree targets

Voltaic Strategic Resources (ASX:VSR) is planning its next drilling program at the Ti Tree Project in Western Australia, as targets are being finalised.

Today (19 January 2024), Voltaic, which has a market capitalisation of $9 million, reports soil sample results defined several lithium anomalies, more than 100 parts per million (ppm) lithium oxide (Li2O), over 5 newly identified trends at its Akira prospect, as part of the Ti Tree project.

Additional infill and extensional soil survey lines are planned for the Akira prospect, with analysis and planning for a regional-scale soil sampling program currently underway.

Voltaic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michael Walshe says the company is awaiting further regional assay results and the next phase of drilling.

“The initial soil survey results confirm the presence of elevated lithium and pathfinder elements over the same host stratigraphy as the nearby Yinnietharra Lithium deposit, which has a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 25.7 million tonnes at 1% Li2O, and the next phase of drilling will be designed to test the most promising prospect.

The company is now focused on an infill soil survey at Akira over the newly identified trends and to complete a wide-spaced soil survey at Ti Tree East across the Lithos and Trinity prospects that overlay a very prospective metasedimentary schist / greenstone corridor.”

For the soil sampling program completed at Akira, samples were collected on north-northeast oriented lines at a spacing of 100m by 80m and 200m by 80m.

Further, mapping within the anomalies identified outcrop of pegmatite within Leake Spring Metamorphics (LSM) rock units which host spodumene mineralisation in the region.

Voltaic Strategic Resources is a rare earths, lithium, base metals, and gold explorer with assets in Western Australia and the US.

As of 31 December 2023, the company had $6 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
