Venari Minerals (ASX:VMS) has returned a 46.2% increase in lithium grade in metallurgical testing at the Red Mountain Project in Nevada, US.
The company increased its grade scope from 2,600 parts per million (ppm) of lithium to 3,800ppm, as well as a material uplift in lithium recovery, from 59.6% to 66.8%.
Chairman Tony Leibowitz says the results reinforce the amenability of lithium mineralisation at the project and demonstrate the company’s systematic approach of “creating value from its assets”.
“With experienced specialists now engaged, we’re advancing quickly towards the development of a robust processing pathway,” Leibowitz says.
“Together with our upcoming maiden mineral resource estimate, the diverse workstreams now underway provide an exciting backdrop for Venari moving into 2026.”
Beneficiation results also returned a mass reduction of 54.6% from 926.15 grams to 420.54 grams, while also reducing calcite content by 14.9%.
Venari achieved these results through the method of pre-soaking ‘high grade’ lithium material ahead of attrition-scrubbing.
The company has employed Pitch Black Group to advise metallurgical testwork and processing studies for the Red Mountain Project. Pitch Black Group has extensive experience in lithium processing flowsheet development across global locations.
Venari expects to release its maiden resource estimate for Red Mountain in early February 2026, with the ongoing lithium carbonate testwork to be completed by the end of February.
Venari Minerals is a diversified mineral explorer focused primarily on lithium, gold, and silver in the US.
The company is attending the RIU Explorers Conference in Fremantle, Western Australia, held from 17-19 February 2026.
