Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN) has intersected broad zones of quartz-carbonate-barite veining via first-pass reverse circulation drilling conducted at the Tigertown prospect in Queensland.
A seven hole for 641m drilling program was completed, with five of the holes testing extensions and continuing of mineralisation along the main Tigertown view.
The veining, alteration, and sulphide observations are in line with information obtained from historical geological records and are what Sunshine expected to see.
Sunshine notes the remaining two holes tested mapped parallel barite veins between 30m and 50m either side of the main Tigertown vein. The assays are expected to be received early next month.
Managing Director Damien Keys says the company is excited to see a large vein network at Tigertown.

“The observations provide further context to the historical intersections and provide confidence that there is a potentially larger gold-silver mineral system at Tigertown,” Keys says.
“We saw similar geology to what was seen historically and are closely awaiting the assays. We are working in part on a gold oxide strategy and are looking to release this along with assays in April 2025.
“Tigertown is one of the shallow gold targets that we will be testing in early 2025. Drilling will test other targets including Coronation, Liontown, Liontown West, and Plateau in coming months.”
Tigertown, as part of the Ravenswood Consolidated Project, lies 1.2km west of the Liontown discovery.
The Ravenswood Consolidated Project is considered prospective for zinc, copper, lead, gold, silver, and molybdenum. The project lies in the Charters Towers-Ravenswood district which has produced more than 20 million ounces of gold and 14 million tonnes of volcanic massive sulphide zinc-copper-lead-gold ore.
