Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) has completed its inaugural drilling program at its wholly owned Range Project in the Mt Magnet region of Western Australia.
The company, which has a market capitalisation of $11 million, conducted 1,500m of drilling for 19 holes to test a range of targets, with first results due by the end of the month.
Data will be reviewed to update geological models, while the company continues to assess data from other fieldwork campaigns.
As previously reported by Mining.com.au, the campaign intended to test areas where gold rock chips were uncovered at surface.
Managing Director Don Smith says the company is excited on the tail of an “excellent drilling program” conducted by DrillSafe.

“We know we have gold at the surface and we certainly saw some appealing geology in the drilling and we now eagerly await the assay results,” Smith says.
Spanning 20km2 of the Mt Magnet region, the project is prospective for felsic to intermediate intrusions, hosting monzogranite with intermittent outcrops of the Mount Magnet Greenstone Belt.
Tempest Minerals is an Australian-based gold, iron ore, zinc, lead, and copper explorer focused on advancing its portfolio of greenfield and brownfield sites.
