Talisker Resources (TSX:TKO) has dispatched its inaugural direct ore shipment from the Bralorne Gold Project to Taiwan.
The shipment carries 10,944 wet metric tonnes (wmt) of ore at a weighted average grade of 8.71 grams per tonne gold (Au). The vessel is expected to dock in Taiwan around 15 September.
According to Talisker, this marks the start of commercial direct ore shipments from Bralorne, where the company is producing at the Mustang mine as part of its direct shipping ore strategy.
President and CEO Terry Harbort says this maiden shipment is a ‘major’ milestone for Talisker and the Bralorne Project.
“Successfully delivering nearly 11,000 tonnes of high-grade ore into the international market demonstrates the strength of our operating team and the progress we have made in establishing and executing our direct shipping ore strategy,” Harbort says.
Talisker is continuing to accumulate ore at its crushing and storage facility in Lillooet, British Columbia, Canada. Stockpiles currently sit at 7,106 wmt, which includes 1,146 wmt averaging 10.77g/t Au alongside 5,960 wmt pending assays. The company notes final gold assays are due next week.
Meanwhile, transport of material from Lillooet to North Vancouver Port is ongoing, with the company forecasting the next vessel to depart in late October or early November.
Talisker Resources is a junior explorer and developer focused on gold projects in British Columbia.
