Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN) has intersected up to three different vein systems in a recent diamond drilling program at the Sybil epithermal system at the gold-copper Ravenswood Consolidated Project in Queensland.
The company has now completed nine drillholes within a greater 14 drillhole campaign spanning around 1,135m at the Francis Creek prospect.
Individual veins uncovered in this program have intersected up to 9m in thickness, which the company has described to host “classic boiling zone” epithermal textures.
Textures include crustiform, cockade, moss, and colloform, with the latter revealing marcasite in the banding and vug fill.
Sunshine expects to return assays from the first four holes early next month 2025.
Managing Director Damien Keys describes the drilling program as showing the company what it hoped to achieve.
“The diamond drilling is progressing well and the veining intersected looks promising,” Keys says.
“We are rapidly building a firm picture of the orientations and interplay between the different Francis Creek veins.”
Sunshine intends to test the eastern extension of the A Vein next with drilling following surface rock chip samples returning up to 17.85 grams per tonne gold, as well as beneath a shallow hole at the Main Vein, after returning 4mm @ 11.6g/t fold from 4m.
The company expects drilling to be complete next month.
