High-resolution aerial magnetic study results will help to maximise opportunities at Auravelle Metals’ (ASX:AUV) Nuckulla Hill Gold Project, 10km southwest of Lake Everard in South Australia’s Gawler Ranges.
Geological interpretation and gold targeting is hoped to significantly improve Nuckulla Hill’s drill positioning, new targets, and scale opportunities.
New data will help to optimise drill hole locations and prioritise high-confidence targets. Drill program commencement is scheduled to be completed during final targeting work.
The Yarlbrinda drilling campaign returned ‘high-grade’ gold intersections of 28 metres at 3.4 grams per tonne of gold from the Sheoak gold prospect.
“Interpretation and review is underway on the new magnetic data, with the greater detail already giving significant new insights into existing targets as well as highlighting new prospective areas for gold,” Managing Director Andrew Muir says.
“New data builds on targets, generated from Auravelle’s recent structural geological review and soil sampling, significantly enhancing our understanding of key gold mineralisation controls and areas to prioritise.”
The next round of drilling will focus on infill and extensional reverse circulation activity at Sheoak. A regional gold discovery aircore program will incorporate new magnetic survey information to “significantly improve” targeting.
