Sunshine Metals ramps up Liontown activities

Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN) is continuing to ramp up activities at the Liontown West resource, as part of the Ravenswood Consolidated Project in Queensland.

An infill reverse circulation drilling program at Liontown West returned 5m @ 27.9 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1.7% copper from 20m; and 5.7m @ 8g/t gold from 76.3m.

Ongoing diamond drilling at the Gap Zone is testing along strike of recent drilling, which returned thick intersections including 16.2m @ 4.54g/t gold and 1.11% copper from 319m, including 6.2m @ 9g/t gold and 2.52% copper from 329m.

Managing Director Damien Keys says the infill reverse circulation drilling program is complete with all samples at the laboratory.

“In addition, low-cost/high-value add activities include a mix of metallurgical studies and historical core sampling, which is ongoing,” he says.

“Results from all programs will be reported throughout July and August and importantly, will all feed into a resource update in the December 2024 quarter.”

The Ravenswood Consolidated Project is considered prospective for zinc-copper-lead-gold-silver-molybdenum in the Charters Towers-Ravenswood district.
