Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN) has begun an initial mapping and sampling program at the Francis Creek area within the Sybil prospect of its Ravenswood Consolidated Project after rock chip sampling.
The Francis Creek East and Burdekin Veins areas are also undergoing reconnaissance mapping and sampling, before the company progresses with a drone topographic survey later this month.
This survey is expected to aid the company with drillhole planning before it begins a drilling program in August.
Sunshine Metals has returned samples from 13 rock chips, with results including 17.85 grams per tonne gold, 13.9g/t gold, 11.56g/t gold, and 9.49g/t gold.
Managing Director Damien Keys says its rock chip sampling program has confirmed the gold rich vein system spanning more than 400m of the Francis Creek area.
“The samples allow us to get our eye in ahead of drilling at Francis Creek, planned for August 2025,” Keys says.
“The team has made substantial progress in a short period of time.”
The Sybil gold system runs along an extensional structure with known Permian-Carboniferous volcanics that spans 40km in Queensland.
Sunshine’s tenure is located north of the structure with drilling programs focusing on the Francis Creek and Quartz Ridge areas.
