Summa Silver (TSX-V:SSVR) has completed maiden resource estimates for its Hughes Project in Nevada and the Mogollon Project in New Mexico.
At Hughes, the indicated resource totals 980,000 tonnes @ 332 grams per tonne silver equivalent for 10.47 million ounces of contained metal.
Meanwhile, in the inferred category, Hughes’ resource totals 2.49 million tonnes @ 418g/t silver equivalent for 33.42 million ounces of contained metal.
Hughes also hosts an inferred tailings resource of 1.26 million tonnes @ 68g/t silver equivalent for 2.74 million ounces.
At Mogollon, the inferred resource totals 2.72 million tonnes @ 367g/t silver equivalent for 32.08 million ounces of contained metal.
Summa Silver says there is additional upside at both projects as the mineralised zones remain open to expansion.
CEO Galen McNamara says these resource estimates represent a significant milestone for the company.
“Exploring these two storied American mining districts is a privilege and both clearly have a lot left to give,” McNamara says.
“We aim to aggressively continue to add value on both projects in the months and years to come.”
At Hughes, the company is conducting a drilling program to expand the known mineralised zones, as well as explore for new veins on the eastern extension of the Tonopah mining district.
The first drillhole has intersected zones of epithermal-related quartz veins and breccias locally featuring visible silver sulphide mineralisation.
Summa Silver is a junior explorer focused on its silver projects in the US.
The Hughes Project is located near the historical Belmont Mine which was considered a prolific silver producer in the US between 1903 and 1929.
The Mogollon Project, near Silver City in New Mexico, hosts numerous epithermal-related silver-gold targets dispersed across 77km of near-continuous and complex vein systems.
