Stockworks advances Pirenopolis for follow-up work

Stockworks Gold (TSX-V:STW) has established multiple defined areas for follow-up exploration and potential drill targeting at the Pirenopolis Project in Brazil, after advancing systematic targeting of bedrock gold sources.

The company received assays from a recent geochemical sampling program which included ‘high-grade’ stream sediment samples of up to 6.38 grams per tonne gold, as well as four additional samples running from 0.424g/t gold and 1.64g/t gold in the two streams.

Stockworks interprets these results as having defined three areas where the gold in stream sediments may be originating from.

The company notes there is also an apparent northeast-southwest structural feature that cuts across north-draining streams and coincides with the gold in the stream bed load drop-off. This regional structural feature is also seen in the government regional airborne magnetic survey and trends for greater than 30km continuing off the government survey in both directions.

A third geophysical feature, further upstream in bed load termination, is interpreted as a potential intrusive body.

Pirenopolis is an early-staged project encompassing two parallel stream catchments with highly anomalous gold in sediment samples and a float boulder. The project occurs in the same geological belt as the Paracatu Gold Mine.

Stockworks Gold is a junior explorer focused on gold discoveries in Brazil.
