Star Copper launches largest exploration campaign to date

Star Copper (CSE:STCU) is launching what is expected to be its largest exploration campaign to date, with drilling beginning this week at the Star Project in Canada.

The early season program is designed to test a series of ‘compelling’ geophysical, geochemical, and structural targets. These targets were generated through integrating induced polarisation (IP) chargeability and conductive anomalies, airborne magnetic data, soil and rock geochemistry, historical trenching, and detailed geological and structural mapping.

Initial drilling at Star East and Star North will target large chargeability anomalies coincident with elevated copper geochemistry and interpreted structural corridors.

Additional drilling planned within the Copper Creek zone will evaluate multiple IP chargeability anomalies associated with coincident copper and gold soil anomalies.

Demonstrating broader scale potential

CEO Darryl Jones says the integration of new data, surface geochemistry, and structural interpretation has refined the company’s targeting across the district.

“We believe the initial drill holes have the potential to demonstrate the broader scale copper-gold potential of the Star Project beyond the historically drilled Star Main zone,” Jones says.

The first part of the drilling program will be followed by expanded drill activities and additional geophysical surveys. These surveys will also include a planned 3D IP and magnetotelluric survey intended to further refine deep porphyry copper-gold targets.

In late May 2026, Star Copper completed drill pad construction across multiple targets within Star, ahead of drilling.

Star Copper is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on copper-gold systems in British Columbia, Canada.

The company’s flagship Star Project is located in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle. Star hosts multiple high-priority targets and exhibits geological characteristics consistent with porphyry copper deposits.
