Star Copper (CSE:STCU) is advancing its district-scale discovery strategy, following the completion of four drill holes as part of an ongoing 2026 diamond drilling campaign at the Star Project in Canada.
The initial four holes represent the first systematic drill testing of satellite porphyry centres surrounding the established Star Main discovery. The holes have intersected visually ‘significant’ porphyry-style copper mineralisation across three priority targets at Star East, Star North, and Copper Creek.
CEO Darryl Jones says the aim this year is to systematically test the broader mineral endowment across the entire Star property.
“Intersecting visually significant porphyry-style mineralisation across three distributed primary targets is an important milestone that increasingly validates our district-scale exploration model,” Jones says.
“While we await assay results, the continuity of alteration, sulphide mineralisation, and porphyry-style veining observed in each of these targets builds confidence that we are defining multiple mineralised centres across the property.
“Every hole is expanding our understanding of what we believe is an emerging copper-gold district in one of Canada’s premier porphyry belts.”
Assays from the drill holes will be used to prioritise follow-up drilling as Star Copper continues advancing its exploration strategy.
With multiple mineralised systems confirmed, the company says Star has potential to evolve beyond a single porphyry discovery into a copper-gold district within British Columbia’s Golden Triangle.
The Star Project hosts multiple high-priority targets and exhibits geological characteristics consistent with porphyry copper deposits.
Star Copper is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on discovering and developing large-scale copper–gold systems.
