Silver North embarks on golden exploration opportunity

Silver North Resources (TSX-V:SNAG) has launched its 2025 exploration program at the company’s flagship Haldane Silver Property in the renowned Keno Hill Silver District, Yukon.

Initial plans outline 10 holes from four drill sites, totalling some 2,500m of drilling.

Silver North has engaged Paycore Diamond Drilling as the drill contractor for the program and Hardline Exploration Services, to provide staffing, technical, and camp support.

The program is expected to be completed by the end of October.

The road-accessible 8,579 hectare Haldane Property is 25km west of Keno City, adjacent to Hecla Mining Company’s (NYSE:HL) producing Keno Hill Silver Mine property, and hosts numerous occurrences of silver-lead-zinc-bearing quartz siderite veins as seen elsewhere in the district, as reported by Mining.com.au.

Mainly focus within Main Zone

Silver North CEO Jason Weber says the focus of the 2025 program is to expand upon the discovery made at the Main Fault last year.

“The Main Zone has shown strong potential in both its high grades and large widths of mineralization. The current program will aim to build upon last year’s results and expand beyond the discovery section,” the CEO adds.

The 10-hole (2,500m) diamond drilling program will target expansion of Keno-style silver lead-zinc mineralisation at the newly identified Main Fault target, a wide zone with at least three high grade silver veins identified to date.

Holes HLD24-29 and HLD24-30 intersected high grade mineralisation such as 1.83m (true width) of 1,088g/t silver, 3.90g/t gold, 1.89% lead and 0.63% zinc, as well as wider zones of silver mineralization including 5.8 m (true width) 365 g/t silver, 0.23 g/t gold, 1.80 % lead and 1.37 % zinc.

The first hole of the program (HLD25-31) will test the continuity of mineralisation approximately 60 m further down dip of the 2024 intersections.

Time and budget permitting, one hole may also be completed at the Bighorn target, following up on silver-bearing quartz-siderite-galena veins intersected in the only drillhole at Bighorn.

Silver North last week attained C$2.1 million ($2.34 million) to fund exploration at the Haldane and GDR mineral properties in the Yukon Territory through a non-brokered private placement, as reported by this news service.

The company will disperse charity flow-through units at an offer price of $0.21 per unit, which comprises one share and one-half of a warrant. Warrant holders will be eligible to purchase a warrant share at $0.35 per share for 48 months from the issue date, to expire 12 August 2029 on a non-flow-through basis.

Silver North will be required to pay C$54,420 and 362,800 non-transferable warrants for finders’ fees, each exercisable at $0.15 for a two-year period to expire 12 August 2027.

The company intends to conduct a 2025 drilling program at its wholly owned Haldane Project, with 2,500m of diamond drilling across 10 drillholes to expand along strike and to depth of previous discoveries.

Keno Hill is renowned for its high-grade deposits and has historically produced more than 220 million ounces of silver. It is considered one of the richest silver-lead-zinc districts ever mined, as reported.

Silver North’s primary assets are its 100% owned Haldane Silver Project, the Tim Silver Project, and the GDR Project. The company plans to acquire additional silver properties in favourable jurisdictions.

The company is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol SNAG, trades on the OTCQB market in the US under the symbol TARSF, and under the symbol I90 on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
