Sheepyard returns strengthen Talisman’s Walkers Hill potential

Talisman Mining (ASX:TLM) has reported assay results from its 2,229m aircore (AC) drilling program completed in 2025 at the Walkers Hill Gold Project in New South Wales.

Drilling in November 2025 consisted of 49 AC holes for 2,22m in two lines spaced 200m apart. The goal was to test the southern part of the soil geochemical trend at Sheepyard.

The company notes that AC drilling at Sheepyard has intersected a broad zone of shallow gold mineralisation, with several intersections of ‘higher-grade’ gold. Key assay results include 15m @ 1.1 grams per tonne gold from surface, including 6m @ 1.95g/t gold; 9m @ 1.05g/t gold from 30m; and 6m @ 0.63g/t gold from 54m.

These intersections form part of a coherent ‘higher-grade’ zone across five consecutive holes, approximately 60m wide, associated with sheared, quartz-veined, pyrite-rich sediments trending northeast to southwest.

The mineralisation is understood to be part of a larger 4.5km long gold-in-soil anomaly, linked to the Erimeran Granite contact. Follow-up exploration will include further soil sampling at Maroonbah, 3km northwest of Sheepyard, and additional AC drilling stepping westward to test extensions of the mineralised zones.

Managing Director Andrew Munckton says that the company is encouraged by the latest results, noting the “strongest arsenic and gold anomalies seen in the soil geochemistry”.

“The next steps in the exploration program at the greater Walkers HIll project include additional geological mapping and soil geochemistry surveys at Maroonbah followed by further lines of AC drilling at Sheepyard, stepping-out in a westerly direction to confirm the extent of the higher-grade zones to persist along strike to the south-west and at depth below the oxide zone tested in this round of drilling.”

Talisman Mining is an Australian exploration company with a diversified portfolio of projects in New South Wales and Western Australia.
