Sentinel is the new kid on NSX’s block

Sentinel Exploration (NSX:SOX) is the only company to have listed on the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX) in the past year, joining the bourse on 24 April 2026.

The company is currently trading at $0.21 per share, with a total market capitalisation of $6.17 million.

Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, Sentinel joined the NSX alongside 43 other listed companies, though it is the only company to list this year.

Of the companies listed on the NSX, Sentinel has become one of six mining and resources-focused companies, including Danakali (NSX:DNK) — a precious and critical mineral explorer and developer focused on advancing its portfolio of assets in the Arabian-Nubian Shield and Australia.

Danakali Executive Chairman Seamus Cornelius previously told Mining.com.au that the “NSX was very welcoming” upon listing on the smaller bourse, after the company had been suspended by the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and unable to satisfy its requirements.

As reported, the NSX’s general listing conditions include a minimum of 50 security holders, 25% of issued capital held by the public, a market capitalisation of at least $500,000, and a nominated adviser from the NSX’s list.

The NSX is focused on listing growing companies after recognising the need for a specialist capital market where listed companies can raise further capital and provide a mechanism for the transferability of shares.

For junior explorers, listing on Australia’s primary exchange, the ASX, is becoming less attractive due to the difficulty of navigating the bourse’s rules.

With Sentinel focused on its flagship Marda East Gold Project in Western Australia, the NSX offers the company exposure to the market in a smaller, flexible listing environment.

Sentinel describes its NSX listing as a methodical approach for exploration and spending, with the benefits of the smaller bourse outweighing those of the traditional ASX, as reported by Mining.com.au.

Sentinel listed on the NSX after spending almost three years as a public unlisted company.

The company’s flagship project is located 12km east of the Marda Gold Project, which is now owned by Leeuwin Metals (ASX:LM1), and was previously mined by Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS).

Ramelius held the project from 2019–2023 and established a resource of 143,000 ounces @ 1.9 grams per tonne gold (Au).

At Marda East, Sentinel uncovered a virgin gold discovery last month, intersecting 30m @ 1.12g/t Au from 12m.

The shallow composite result came from drill hole 26MERC057, which includes two higher-grade 3m composite samples of 3m @ 5.35g/t Au from 15m and 3m @ 3.59g/t Au from 36m.

Sentinel conducted 33 reverse circulation drill holes at Marda East, spanning 2,915m.

This campaign follows Sentinel’s maiden exploration program in 2025, focused on further testing select areas of gold mineralisation.

Marda East is Sentinel’s flagship project, although the company owns projects in geographically diverse regions across Western Australia.

Sentinel Exploration is a resource company focused on acquiring, exploring, and developing mining opportunities in Australia and across the globe.
