Scottie Resources (TSX-V:SCOT) is more than halfway through its largest-ever drill program at its flagship project in British Columbia’s Stewart Gold District, as it advances towards a Feasibility Study.
In June, the company launched the fully funded 50,000m program aimed at expanding and upgrading its ‘high-grade’ gold resources, while testing multiple high-priority exploration targets across the district.
Its Scottie Gold Mine Project covers mineral claims covering 8,534 hectares in the Stewart Mining Camp. It hosts the past-producing Scottie gold mine, which operated from 1981 to 1985 and produced 95,426 ounces of gold.
Current resource drilling is focused on the former mine area as well as the Blueberry Zone area, located about 2km to the northeast.
Meanwhile, Scottie is testing several priority targets for new discoveries. These include Domino, about 2km west of the Scottie Gold Mine, where the company has completed 2,000m of drilling and is testing several outcropping veins.
Other high-priority targets include the Bend Vein, C and D Zones, Serac Vein, and Lakebed area.
The broader drill program also includes 2,000m of initial drilling at the Cambria Property, also located in the Stewart Gold District. Cambria covers 31,736 hectares across 140 mineral claims.
“We are pleased with the progress we are seeing in the field, and the program is performing as expected,” CEO Dr Thomas Mumford says.
“We have systematically advanced our resource definition drilling while continuing to push into some of the most compelling exploration targets across the district.”
According to Scottie, the current drilling will play a key role in supporting resource growth and conversion ahead of a planned Feasibility Study in the first half of 2027.
Technical programs are also advancing in parallel, including geotechnical, hydrogeological, and condemnation drilling, as well as geophysics, remote sensing, and environmental baseline studies to support future project development.
Scottie Resources holds a 100% interest in the Scottie Gold Mine Property, which includes the high-grade, past-producing Scottie Gold Mine and the adjacent Blueberry Contact Zone.
