Renforth Resources (CSE:RFR) reveals visual mineralisation in three holes drilled at the Victoria open-pit deposit in Canada, representing a down dip continuation of mineralisation.
As previously reported, Renforth is testing two mineralised zones first intersected during drilling in 2021 and 2022, with holes designed to undercut previously reported results.
At the second undercut area at Victoria, hole SUR-26-60, which undercut three other holes, was completed. Hole SUR-21-28 assayed 170.55m @ 0.16% nickel and 100.2 parts per million (ppm) cobalt from 40.9m to 211.45m.
Renforth says one hole unexpectedly intersected mineralisation as soon as it was in bedrock, with the Pontiac sediments hosting pyrite and quartz stringers, followed by the albite shear zone, graphitic mudstone, and the calc-silicate altered contact zone, all of which evidence various degrees of mineralisation.
The unexpected initial mineralisation is currently interpreted to relate to a zone intersected at the end of hole SUR-22-38, collared to the north and slightly west of hole SUR-26-60.
Last week, Renforth encountered visual mineralisation in two holes completed in the first undercut area at the project. Two undercut drill holes intersected visual mineralisation, drilled at 45 and 65 degrees, respectively.
Victoria forms part of Renforth’s Malartic Metals Package property between Cadillac and Malartic, close to Agnico Eagle Mines’ (TSX:AEM) Canadian Malartic and LaRonde operations.
Renforth Resources is a Canadian junior exploration company focused on advancing the Parbec gold deposit in the Abitibi region of Québec and also holds the Victoria polymetallic deposit.
