Reach Resources (ASX:RR1) reports it has completed grade control drilling at its Murchison South Gold Project near Payne’s Find in Western Australia. It has also commenced a 2,000m step-out reverse circulation (RC) drilling program targeting extensions of the Primrose Shear.
The completed grade control program comprised 163 RC holes for 4,238m on a 10m by 10m grid at the proposed NW pit. Data gleaned from the program will inform mine planning and scheduling, which will be undertaken by Andel Resources’ subsidiary SMS Mining.
Reach says samples have been sent to the laboratory, with assays expected in early October.
The newly started 2,000m step-out program consists of 24 RC holes testing strike extensions of the Primrose Shear and untested historical workings southeast of the planned pits, to evaluate potential resource growth.
The company plans to complete drilling in early October, with assay results expected in late November.
CEO Jeremy Bower says the program provides an opportunity to extend the project’s mineralised footprint.
“This program has the potential to grow the footprint of the Murchison South gold system at what is still a very early stage of the project’s development and reflects the confidence we and our partners at Andel continue to have in the broader potential of this system,” Bower says.
Reach operates Murchison South under an agreement with Andel Resources to potentially supply ore to the nearby Kirkalocka processing plant.
Reach Resources is focused on advancing its flagship Murchison South Project near Payne’s Find, WA.
