Q2 Metals (TSX-V:QTWO) says additional assay results from its summer drilling program are continuing to confirm the potential and scale of the Cisco Lithium Property in Quèbec, Canada.
The latest assay results comprise seven holes for 2,318.4m of drilling, which returned ‘strong’ analytical results which includes 215.6m @ 1.69% lithium oxide, including 64.6m @ 2.29% lithium oxide.
Q2 Metals reports the other highlight results include 81.8m @ 1.17% lithium oxide and 59.5m @ 1.18% lithium oxide.
Vice President of Exploration Neil McCallum says the assays validate the potential and scale of the Cisco Property as that of a larger mineralised system.
“One important observation of these results is the higher grade nature of the larger mineralised system as we test and track the system progressing to the south,” McCallum says.
CEO Alicia Milne adds that the results continue to show the “world-class nature of the Cisco Project”.
“It is difficult to ignore the significance of what we’ve discovered at Cisco and our team is committed to continuing to unlock Cisco’s full potential,” she says.
During the spring and summer period, 17 holes for 6,359.7m of drilling was conducted at Cisco in order to further explore the connection of the wide, continuous pegmatite zones encountered in holes CS24-010 and CS24-018.
Throughout the campaign, the company has intersected wide continuous intervals of spodumene pegmatites and hit the longest interval of 347.1m, after encountering five spodumene pegmatite intervals.
To date, all drillholes have intersected pegmatite with visual indications of spodumene mineralisation identified.
Q2 Metals is awaiting assay results for six additional drillholes that were completed at the property.
The Cisco Property encompasses 222 mineral claims covering 11,374 hectares within the greater Nemaska Community lands of the Eeyou Istchee Territory of the James Bay region.
