Q2 Metals sees spodumene mineralisation in all holes at Cisco

Q2 Metals (TSX-V:QTWO) has completed the summer drilling program at its Cisco Lithium Property in Québec having intersected wide continuous intervals of spodumene pegmatite in an additional two holes.

The junior explorer drilled an additional 1,188.1m in two holes, completing the summer drilling campaign of 2,609.9m across five holes.

Q2 reports that hole CS24-023 encountered 15 spodumene-pegmatite intervals, with the widest continuous interval spanning 188.6m.

Meanwhile, hole CS24-022 encountered 14 spodumene-pegmatite intervals, with the widest continuous interval extending for 52.3m.

Q2 says all holes intercepted pegmatite with visual indications of spodumene mineralisation identified.

Earlier in September hole CS24-021 hit the longest interval so far at Cisco — 347.1m — after encountering five spodumene pegmatite intervals.

Since May this year, the company has drilled 6,359.7m over 17 holes.

CEO Alicia Milne says the Cisco Property continues to deliver, and there are still 13 drill holes yet to be reported.

“To say it’s been a very productive first drill season for Q2 Metals at our Cisco Lithium Property is an understatement,” she says.

The expanded drill program follows the completion of a C$6.87 million ($7.41 million) private placement.

The campaign was aimed at exploring the connection of the wide, continuous pegmatite zones encountered in holes CS24-010 and CS24-018.

Hole CS24-022 was drilled on the same line as hole CS24-018 and collared 200m behind it, encountering 14 individual spodumene pegmatite intervals. Nine intervals were greater than 10m wide.

Hole CS24-023 was drilled at the same collar location as hole CS24-020 to test the southern strike direction of the main large continuous pegmatite zone. Of the 15 individual spodumene pegmatite intervals encountered in this hole, eight were greater than 10m wide.

Q2 says the last two holes of the season continued to confirm and expand the understanding of the main pegmatite zone.

Vice President Exploration Neil McCallum says Q2 has been “incredibly fortunate to be able to have built as much value in an early-stage project in four months”.

“We have just started on the Cisco Project and look forward to receiving the assays on the holes drilled as we continue to move forward with Cisco,” he says.

The Cisco Property comprises 222 mineral claims spanning 11,374 hectares. It is located in the Eeyou Istchee Territory in the James Bay region in Québec.
