PTR Minerals (ASX:PTR) has identified water-bearing paleochannel aquifers at three locations during a four-week hydrogeological drilling program around its Rosewood Titanium Project in South Australia.
According to PTR, the program aims to support potential future mining operations.
The company installed cased test and observation wells at two sites for future water pump testing, as well as five shallow groundwater monitoring wells across the Rosewood deposit. PTR says the results will help establish baseline hydrogeological data to support upcoming environmental approvals.
PTR intends to execute detailed geophysical surveys to define the 3D geometry of the aquifer systems, followed by further drilling and test pumping to evaluate water quality, yield, and long-term supply sustainability.
In the final week of July 2026, PTR completed a Native Title heritage survey in partnership with the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal Corporation. The survey cleared land for the hydrogeological drilling program, future JORC-measured resource infill drilling, and regional exploration drilling.
PTR has also dispatched its first trial sample product for customer evaluation, with additional samples scheduled for dispatch in the coming weeks.
The company says Scoping Study activities remain advanced, with principal technical workstreams substantially complete.
PTR Minerals is a critical minerals explorer with titanium, copper, and rare earth projects in the northern Gawler Craton.
