Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has received step-out drill results which confirm the resource growth potential of the Horden Lake deposit in Québec, Canada.
Subject to mineral resource modelling and estimation process, the depth, widths, and continuity intersected are expected to support resource growth potential in the area.
Managing Director Ivan Fairhall says the company has extended the deposit strike, with mineralisation open with the highest grades in the deepest holes.
Some of the latest results include 4.3% copper-equivalent over 0.5m, within wider 19.5m @ 0.71% copper-equivalent from 125m; and 2.3% copper-equivalent over 2.6m, within wider 28.3m @ 0.57% copper-equivalent from 179.6m.
The results build on historical shallow drilling in the area to support potential extensions to the current pit-constrained resource of 37 million tonnes @ 1.1% copper-equivalent.
Fairhall says the results also validate electromagnetic (EM) as a high conviction targeting tool.
“This is the first of multiple new EM anomalies that have not been drilled,” he says.
“Despite being shallow and immediately along strike of the Horden Lake deposit, this particular opportunity was missed due to the lack of high-powered geophysical methods we have available today to set exploration priorities.”
Horden Lake is located 131km north-northwest of Matagami in the James Bay Region of Québec, Canada. The project is considered prospective for copper, nickel, gold, platinum group metals, and cobalt.
