PC Gold targets Spring Hill resource expansion

PC Gold (ASX:PC2) has reported ‘strong’ results from its ongoing resource definition drilling at the Main Zone Southern Extension of the Spring Hill Gold Project, returning multiple notable intercepts.

The drilling has confirmed the continuity of mineralisation and extended the high-grade core for around 120m along strike to the south of the current resource boundary.

PC Gold notes that mineralisation remains open along strike and down plunge.

Key results from the drilling program include 10m @ 4.51 grams per tonne gold from 161m, 11.5m @ 1.12g/t gold from 227.5m, 4m @ 2.30g/t gold from 245m, 6.1m @ 2.94g/t gold from 209m, 1.5m @ 30.44g/t gold from 237m, and 6.6m @ 2.9g/t gold from 199m.

PC Gold also says that these intercepts have come from areas within the current pit optimisation shell where limited or no previous drilling occurred, highlighting the potential to extend the resource beyond the current zone.

Chairman Ashley Pattison says that the results have demonstrated the growth potential at the project and “confirm that high-grade mineralisation remains open and continues to expand beyond the current resource”.

“Importantly, we are now intersecting multiple mineralised zones within the existing pit shell in areas previously considered waste and beyond the extent of the current MRE,” Pattison says.

“These results further support the potential for an increase in tonnage and grade of the MRE, within the existing development envelope. Further exploration is planned to determine the extents of this high-grade mineralisation.

“With a third rig now mobilised to site, we are well positioned to accelerate resource growth and project definition.”

PC Gold has mobilised a third rig to increase drilling capacity within the mineral resource estimate (MRE) area and at recent discoveries. A reverse circulation rig is due in mid- to late-May, with bulk fuel supply now secure.

PC Gold is a gold exploration and development company focused on unlocking the potential of the Spring Hill Gold Project in the Northern Territory.
