PC Gold hits visible gold at Spring Hill Link

PC Gold (ASX:PC2) has observed visible gold in two additional drill holes at the Link Zone, part of the Spring Hill Gold Project in the Northern Territory, which the company says confirms resource growth potential.

The company has received results for five additional holes, along with the ‘extensive visible gold’ in two holes awaiting results.

Ongoing drilling at the Link, Macau, and Hong Kong zones aims to confirm that Spring Hill can evolve from a conventional open pit resource into a “broader mineralised system with growing underground development potential”.

At the Link Zone, PC Gold has targeted broad-spaced up-dip and down-dip extensions to test continuity of the interpreted mineralised domain.

Assays returned from the Link Zone include 4.5m @ 4.72 grams per tonne gold from 239.5m, including 1.5m @ 12.66g/t gold; 7m @ 2.55g/t gold from 324m; 6.7m @ 2.79g/t gold from 130m; and 39m @ 0.87g/t gold from 244m, including 6.3m @ 2.93g/t gold from 276m.

Parallel to the Macau zone, PC Gold has identified a new footwall lode outside the existing resources. Assays include 11.5m @ 0.73g/t gold from 117.5m; 15m @ 0.94g/t gold from 221.1m; 3.4m @ 2.68g/t gold from 231.6m; and 3.3m @ 2.82g/t gold from 263m.

The Macau zone has also returned 17.5m @ 1.69g/t gold from 213.5m, including 4.9m @ 4.61g/t gold, as well as 7.8m @ 1.58g/t gold from 443m, including 1m @ 7.26g/t gold.

Meanwhile, photon assay optimisation testwork at the Hong Kong zone has returned 113m @ 1.14g/t gold from surface, sub-parallel to mineralisation, including 18m @ 4.62g/t gold from surface.

Executive Chairman Ashley Pattison says the latest batch of drilling results has continued to “demonstrate the significant growth potential emerging at Spring Hill beyond the current resource base”.

“Cube Consulting is currently undertaking a full remodelling of the Spring Hill deposit as part of the upcoming mineral resource estimate update, which is expected over the coming month or so,” Pattison says.

“The evolving geological interpretation is already highlighting additional growth opportunities both within and outside the current resource envelope.

“These results continue to support the scale and continuity potential of the Link Zone and reinforce its importance within the broader Spring Hill system.

“As our understanding of the structural controls associated with the Macau-Link Zone relationship improves, we are identifying additional areas across the project where similar repeating mineralised structures may occur.”

The company currently has three drill rigs operating on the Link and Main zones, targeting additional Link-style mineralisation across Spring Hills.

PC Gold is a gold exploration and development company focused on unlocking the potential of the Spring Hill Gold Project in the Northern Territory.
