PC Gold extends Main Zone strike

PC Gold (ASX:PC2) has extended the Main Zone strike by 120m south beyond the existing 400m strike length from extensional drilling at the Spring Hill Gold Project in Northern Territory.

The company has returned intercepts including 17m @ 0.93 grams per tonne gold from 163m; 15m @ 5.09g/t gold from 187m, including 1m @ 64.65g/t gold from 188m; and 10m @ 2.77g/t gold from 229m, including 0.6m @ 26.60g/t gold from 232m.

PC has conducted drilling across eight holes, with two drill rigs to prioritise drilling the Link Zone out for inclusion in an upcoming resource estimate.

After completing drilling at the Link Zone, the rig will be moved to the Main Zone South prospect for an 18 hole drill program across 7,800m.

Executive Chairman Ashley Pattison says results from the Main Zone highlights the “substantial upside” of Spring Hill for a strong growth trajectory.

“Results confirm the system remains open along strike, at depth and continues to expand within the highest-grade core of the resource,” Pattison says.

“Importantly, the intercept occurs within the footprint of the existing pit optimisation shell and had previously been modelled as waste due to lack of drilling coverage and it being outside of the resource model.

“The potential conversion of this material to mineralisation is expected to deliver a meaningful uplift to significantly enhance overall project economics.

“Drilling indicates the Main Zone may extend for up to a further 500 metres to the south, broadly parallel to the Hong Kong Lode. The close proximity of these lodes presents a highly compelling opportunity to materially increase project scale while unlocking further operational efficiencies.”

PC Gold is a gold exploration and development company, focused on the Spring Hill Gold Project in the Northern Territory.
