Patagonia Gold (TSX-V:PGDC) has returned ‘high-grade’ gold-silver intersections from ongoing exploration drilling at its Calcatreu Gold-Silver Project in Argentina.
Hole BE-032R at Belen West returned 8m @ 15.71 grams per tonne gold (Au) and 476.6g/t silver (Ag), including 5m @ 25.45g/t Au and 808.4g/t Ag, and 1m @ 68.3g/t Au and 3,209g/t Ag.
Additional results include 4m @ 9.8g/t Au and 12g/t Ag in BE-040R at Belen West, and 6m @ 6.59g/t Au and 19.17g/t Ag in BE-059R at Belen.
At Nelson, hole NLO-033-D intersected 7.7m @ 3.24g/t Au and 55.94g/t Ag, including 5m @ 4.8g/t Au and 85g/t Ag.
The results come from drilling completed after the 14 January 2026 effective date of Patagonia’s updated mineral resource estimate (MRE). They were not included in the current MRE or the recently announced preliminary economic assessment.
A total of 51 holes intersected mineralisation above the 0.3g/t Au cut-off after the MRE effective date. Belen sits 450m west of the Veta 49 pit, while Nelson is 100m southwest of the pit.
CEO Christopher van Tienhoven says the results highlight exploration potential beyond the current MRE drilling.
“The intercept in BE-032R returned gold and silver grades over meaningful widths at Belen West,” van Tienhoven says.
“With Calcatreu now advancing as an operating mine and approximately 10,000m of additional drilling planned over the next 12 months, we see a compelling opportunity to grow the mineralised system alongside the development of the existing operation.”
Patagonia recently acquired a Boart Longyear LF90D core drill rig, expected on site by the end of November 2026. The company says ownership will provide greater scheduling flexibility and lower drilling costs than contract drilling.
The 55,000-hectare Calcatreu property has more than 20km of exposed hydrothermal structures, with only 5.7km carrying defined inferred, indicated, or measured mineral resources.
Patagonia Gold has identified about 32 exploration targets, of which seven have defined mineral resources.
