Patagonia Lithium (ASX:PL3) has posted lithium grades up to 591 parts per million (ppm) from 200L packer tests conducted on its maiden well JAM24-01 within its Formentera Lithium Project in northern Argentina.
Patagonia says results, representing the final batch of assays to be received, returned the 591ppm grades in a 21m aquifer zone.
Results also demonstrate grades that exceeded 235ppm from 170m to 370m, a 200m aquifer interval.
They also highlight very low levels of deleterious ions, being 522ppm boron and 358ppm calcium.
“An interval of 200m with lithium values over 235ppm is truly an indication of a world-class project,” Executive Chairman Phillip Thomas says.
“Additionally, we have the great brine flow results previously announced. Brine flow is as important as lithium assay values and we have achieved evidence of both parts of the equation for a prospective successful project.”
Patagonia Lithium has two lithium brine projects – the Formentera/Cilon in Salar de Jama project in the Jujuy province, and the Tomas III Project within the Incahuasi Salar in Salta Province of northern Argentina.
