Norwest Minerals (ASX:NWM) has submitted applications for heritage clearance across proposed drill sites for the Bali Copper Project in Western Australia.
The company reports a study is set to commence prior to the end of the quarter, with drilling to begin shortly thereafter.
This announcement comes after further mapping and sampling in the area increased the strike length and the number of narrow copper-rich structures extending across the project.
Norwest reports multiple copper-rich vein structures in the region extend about 3.2km and average 19% copper. These have now been mapped and rockchip sampled across Bali’s Deep South and Conglomerate prospects.
Many of the copper-rich rockchips returned ‘strong’ gold tenor, including vein 1, with 17.1% Cu, including 1.4g/t Au and 28.8% Cu, including 1.2g/t Au; vein 2, with 37.8% Cu, including 6.7g/t Au and 27.4% Cu, including 4.8g/t Au; and vein 3 with 16.6% Cu, including 1.3g/t Au.
