North Stawell Minerals reports gold intersections at Darlington and Caledonia

North Stawell Minerals (ASX:NSM) has provided updated results on its recent aircore (AC) drill program at the North Stawell Project in Victoria, delivering a number of gold intersections across the Darlington and Caledonia prospects.

At Darlington, drilling returned 6m @ 0.5 grams per tonne gold from 39m and 3m @ 0.57g/t gold from 27m, with the intercepts showing a strong correlation with the southerly strike extension of the ‘high-grade’ intercept in NSD057.

Drilling at the northerly strike extension of Darlington also produced results that support the potential continuation of mineralisation.

At Caledonia, intercepts returned 3m @ 1.49g/t gold from 51m and 9m @ 0.62g/t gold from 33m. These results are consistent with the mineralised Darlington/Caledonia trend that was previously highlighted by soil geochemistry.

An additional intercept at Darlington of 3m @ 1.13g/t gold is being prioritised for follow up work.

Executive Director and Head of Exploration Bill Reid says that multiple holes from the drill program intersected “strongly anomalous results consistent with the interpreted structural trend”.

“Each new layer of geological information continues to reinforce the parallels we are drawing in geology, mineralisation style, grade distribution, and structural setting with the historic Mariners Lodes at Stawell, located 6km to the south,” Reid says.

“These results further enhance our understanding of the broader Stawell Corridor mineralisation model.

“The targets remain open in all directions, and we are eager to advance follow up drilling and other geological activity to build on this momentum.”

North Stawell Minerals is an Australian gold exploration company focused on delivering shareholder value through the systematic search and evaluation of prospective gold exploration and development projects in Australia.
