North Stawell kicks off Darlington drilling

North Stawell Minerals (ASX:NSM) has begun a two-to-three hole for 600 to 900m diamond drilling program at the Darlington Project in Victoria, following up work on previous results from a February 2025 program.

The February 2025 drill results included a maiden intercept of a new, shallow “high-grade” gold zone parallel to the historical Darlington Mine trend, which is open in all directions.

Drillhole NSD057 intersected 2.3m @ 29.3 grams per tonne gold from 108.2m, including 0.8m @ 82g/t gold from 108.2m.

Victorian-based drilling company AMWD with prior drilling experience in the Stawell Zone is onsite to complete the program. The initial results are expected in November 2025.

CEO Campbell Olsen says the mineralisation in the new zone includes multiple occurrences of visible gold in a geological and structural position that appears similar to the historical Mariners Mine.

“The Mariners Mines targeted high-grade splays above the deeper basalt-related mineralisation – and produced almost 1 million ounces of gold at 28-30g/t historically,” Olsen says.

Darlington is a historical mine area – which produced 2,347 ounces @ 18.2g/t gold – which sits 6km northeast of Stawell at the southern end of the Darlington-Germania trend.

North Stawell Minerals is a gold explorer based in western Victoria, Australia. The company holds 504km2 of tenements within the Stawell Corridor.
