North Stawell Minerals (ASX:NSM) has extended mineralisation at the Darlington West trend from the final hole of recent drilling at the Darlington Project in Victoria.
Intercepts include 1.2m @ 3.32 grams per tonne gold from 177.3m on the upper contact of the foliated basalt, 0.65m @ 1.89g/t gold from 167m, as well as a 22m zone of anomalous gold including 0.3m @ 1.44g/t gold from 135.5m, all at hole NSD061.
North Stawell will conduct aircore drilling at the project, targeting strike extensions of shallow mineralisation in Q1 2026.
Non-executive Chairman Campbell Olsen says the drilling results from NSD061 is “exciting” for North Stawell for potential mineralisation at the tenements.
“NSD061 is the second hole testing a geophysics target that has been modelled as a structural focus for gold-bearing fluids,” Olsen says.
“Intersecting visually impressive mineralisation in the drilling as per the model and supported by significant (>1g/t) gold grades within long runs of anomalous gold (<1g/t Au).
“This is a great result, with significant upside for future refinement of our programs and expansion targets. The second-hole success is a very positive sign that Darlington West responds to the Stawell-type gold model.
“There is also significant potential to more effectively explore, saving time and cost of exploration and discovery.”
North Stawell Minerals is a gold explorer focused on discovering large-scale deposits in the Stawell Mineralised Corridor in Victoria.
The company is attending the RIU Explorers Conference in Fremantle, Western Australia, held from 17-19 February 2026. Mining.com.au is a media partner for the conference.
