Nestled along Queensland’s breathtaking Sunshine Coast, Noosa is a stunning destination with captivating charm, celebrated for its pristine beaches, chic style, suave dining hubs, and exclusive events.
One such event is the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, which will run from 17-19 July 2024. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, the conference attracts a mix of fund managers, stockbrokers, and casual investors, offering extensive networking opportunities and showcasing companies at various stages of market capitalisation.
Amy Dickinson, the Business Development Manager for conference organisers Equity Events, discusses the highly anticipated conference – now held twice a year at Peppers Noosa Resort on the top end of Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Dickinson has a background in marketing and advertising and has been involved in the family business since the first Noosa Mining Conference in 2011. She joined the Equity Events team in 2023 as Business Development Manager.
She details there are very distinct reasons the Noosa Mining Investor Conference is a ‘must attend’ event on the mining conference calendar.
“I think it’s all about the vibe. We’re more of a party and less of a conference, so it’s a great destination conference, it’s a great reason to have a tax deductible holiday and we have lots of people that come up for the whole week,” she tells Mining.com.au in jest.
But on the business side of things, the event gives investors, brokers and fund managers a better understanding of current investment opportunities in the mining, energy, and exploration sectors. It just happens to be at a pristine location, she adds.
Being a three-day conference, day one starts at midday with has a focus on small caps – companies with a market value of sub-$55 million.
Companies such as ABx (ASX:ABX), Aguia Resources (ASX:AGR), Alchemy Resources (ASX:ALY), Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8), Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ), Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL), Fenix (ASX:FEX), Group 6 Metals (ASX:G6M), Investigator Resources (ASX:IVR), Metro Mining (ASX:MMI), Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT), Torque Metals (ASX:TOR), and True North Copper (ASX:TNC) will be exhibiting on day one.
Day two is a full day and showcases large caps including five majors featuring this year with market values of $1 billion-plus. Day three on Friday 19 July is another half day with a lunch and networking event to round things off.
Established in 2011, Equity Events is a Brisbane-based company which specialises in organising investment events for the mining, energy and exploration sectors.
