Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) has begun reverse circulation drilling at the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia to define a resource estimate for the project.
The company will conduct 22,000m of drilling across the project to target material growth in the resource inventory.
Reverse circulation drilling will be conducted across the Clement, Payns, and Branches prospect. The company will also target the Crusader-Templar prospect in this campaign.
Nexus says the priority targets demonstrate the scale, continuity, and grade profile required to support the resource definition drilling campaign.
The company will target the Godfrey and Amand prospects in future reverse circulation drilling campaigns.
The first three targets have been generated from systematic exploration drilling conducted over 18 months.
Initial assays are expected to be returned in May 2026, before an updated resource estimate is released later this year.
Managing Director Andy Tudor says the company has returned a “pipeline of high-quality prospects” that qualifies resource advancement from a disciplined exploration approach used over the past 18 months.
“This reverse circulation program is a key step in progressing Wallbrook from systematic exploration success toward meaningful resource growth,” Tudor says.
“The current program will build on early success at Clement, Payns, and Branches prospects, while also testing lateral extensions to the established Crusader-Templar resource.
“The program plans to progress exploration success into high-quality gold ounces for the Wallbrook mineral resource inventory, with a multi-prospect mineral resource estimate planned for later in 2026.”
Located 130km northeast of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia, the Wallbrook Gold Project spans 192km2.
Nexus Minerals is a resources company with a portfolio of gold and copper projects across Australia.
