Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) has pinpointed a number of mineralised lodes along strike at the newly named Amand prospect within the greater Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company conducted 30 holes across 3,189m of reverse circulation drilling at the Amand prospect – which was formerly referred to as Target MC4.1. Drilling was a part of a greater program of 6,155m for 60 holes, also targeting the Clement and Godfrey prospects.
Highlights from the program include 95m @ 0.97 grams per tonne gold from 15m, including 2m @ 8.36g/t gold from 18m; 1m @ 12.08g/t gold from 57m; 1m @ 5.88g/t gold from 68m; and 3m @ 2.49g/t gold from 42m.
Remaining assays from the Clement and Godfrey prospects are expected in the coming weeks, while Nexus shifts its focus to ongoing aircore drilling testing extensions at the Branches prospect and initial testing at Target MC3.3.
Managing Director Andy Tudor says the drill results reflect Amand’s “rapidly emerging mineralising potential”.
“Amand has delivered exceptional widths and grades from a limited number of holes over a large 1.7km by 600m footprint, highlighting its potential to become a significant new discovery within the broader Wallbrook Gold Project,” Tudor says.
“Together with the strong results recently reported from Clement Prospect, located just 250 metres east of the Crusader-Templar deposit, and prior exploration success at the Branches, Payns and Godfrey Prospects, position Wallbrook for substantial mineral resource growth.
“The results reinforce our disciplined exploration approach and demonstrate the project’s capacity to yield additional high-quality gold discoveries.”
