Nexus Minerals delivers multi-lode system at Clement

Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) has announced first-tranche reverse circulation drilling results from the Clement prospect, part of the Wallbrook Gold Project in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

The drilling is part of a 22,000m mineral resource estimate (MRE) definition program for the project.

The first 10 holes out of the planned 33 holes in this program have returned broad ‘high-grade’ mineralisation of up to 26.53 grams per tonne gold. Nexus notes that these results support the potential for a mineral resource at the Clement prospect, with the additional opportunity to grow the Wallbrook resource inventory.

Key results from tranche one drilling include:

  • 12m @ 3.81g/t gold, including 1m @ 26.53g/t gold within 19m @ 2.51g/t gold from 76m
  • 15m @ 2.02g/t gold, including 2m @ 4.1g/t gold and 3m @ 3.92g/t gold within 22m @ 1.45g/t gold from 83m
  • 13m @ 1.85g/t gold, including 2m @ 7.59g/t gold within 20m @ 1.28g/t gold from 54m
  • 28m @ 1.57g/t gold, including 9m @ 2.08g/t gold within 43m @ 1.15g/t gold from 50m

Results have also confirmed the presence of a multi-lode system and drilling will continue to define the extent of the prospect envelope.

The planned drill program is focused on key targets that include Payns and Branches, in addition to Clement, with further extension opportunities at the Crusader-Templar deposit.

Drilling is being conducted at 1m intervals across each hole, with samples being sent to the laboratory for Chrysos PhotonAssayTM analysis for gold. Results from Clement have already been received by the lab, with further results expected in the coming weeks.

Managing Director Andy Tudor says that the results “are an excellent start” and confirm the approach that Nexus has taken over the past 18 months.

“Clement sits immediately adjacent to our established Crusader-Templar resource within a proven, well-endowed gold corridor,” Tudor says.

“With the drilling program progressing well and further results to come from Clement, as well as from the Payns, Branches, and Crusader-Templar prospects, we continue to build momentum toward the updated multi-prospect MRE planned for later this year.”

An independent geologist, Jeremy Clark from Lily Valley International, has been engaged as a consultant to deliver the updated MRE for Wallbrook, which is targeted for completion by the end of the September 2026 quarter.

Nexus Minerals is actively exploring for gold across its prospective tenement package in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
