NexMetals Mining (TSX-V:NEXM) has reported assay results from four drill holes at its Selebi Main deposit in Botswana.
Drilling has intersected thick, ‘high-grade’ massive sulphides beyond the 2024 mineral resource estimate (MRE).
The company’s 30,000m surface drilling program targeting the Flexure Zone returned 11.15m of 7.65% copper equivalent (CuEq) (3.10% [Cu], 2.21% nickel [Ni]) from drill hole SMD-26-212-W1.
Additional results include 4.1m of 5.81% CuEq (2.38% Cu, 1.67% Ni) from SMD-26-210, 1.75m of 6.22% CuEq (2.33% Cu, 1.89% Ni) from SMD-26-213, and 0.80m of 4.78% CuEq (1.79% Cu, 1.45% Ni) from SMD-26-214.
Drilling continues to validate the company’s exploration model. The results define a kilometre-scale trend that remains open and supports expansion potential of the Selebi system.
“Historically, sd119 was viewed as a standalone thick, high-grade massive sulphide intersection. Today, results from SMD-25-205 and SMD-26-212-W1 demonstrate that even at a 200m drill spacing, we continue to intersect thick, high-grade massive sulphides,” Chief Executive Officer Sean Whiteford says.
“These results are defining an emerging trend extending for more than one kilometre beyond the 2024 MRE. Importantly, the trend remains open, and we are still refining our understanding of the geological and structural controls responsible for these thicker, higher-grade zones.”
SMD-26-212-W1 intersected two zones of mineralisation starting at 1,520.1m downhole. This includes the significant 11.15m interval of massive sulphides corresponding to the Main Zone.
A second zone comprises a 4.45m interval of semi-massive, net-textured and disseminated sulphides.
SMD-26-210 intersected 4.10m of mineralisation from 1,681.5m to 1,686.6m corresponding to the Main Zone, including 3.65m of massive sulphides.
The company has completed 29,734m in 12 holes as part of the surface drilling program, with four holes currently in progress. NEXM expects to complete a 2026 MRE in Q3 2026, incorporating results from the ongoing drilling program.
