Native Mineral Resources (ASX:NMR) reports 870.8 ounces of official gold production for August from its Blackjack Gold Operations near Charters Towers in Queensland.
The company completed four consecutive weekly smelts during August, producing 12 doré bars with a combined weight of 2,576.6 ounces (80.1kg).
The fourth and final August smelt, completed on 25 August, produced three bars weighing 476 ounces (14.8kg), with refinery assays pending. This final smelt is not included in the official August gold outturn of 870.8 ounces.
The August production comes from three smelts that returned 870.8 ounces of gold and 694.9 ounces of silver. Final August gold production will be confirmed following receipt of the refinery outturn for the three bars from the 25 August smelt.
Managing Director Blake Cannavo says August has delivered another strong result for the company.
“August has delivered another strong result for NMR, with 870.8 ounces of gold already officially recorded from our first three smelts of the month,” Cannavo notes.
“Importantly, this does not include our fourth and final August smelt completed on 25 August, which produced a further 476 ounces, or 14.8kg, of doré. Completing four consecutive weekly smelts during August demonstrates the increasingly consistent production rhythm being established at Blackjack.”
The 25 August smelt produced three doré bars through both elution and gravity circuits. The elution circuit produced two bars totalling 310 ounces, while the gravity circuit produced one bar weighing 166.1 ounces.
Across the four August smelts, Blackjack has produced approximately 80.1kg of doré.
Since operations began, Blackjack has produced 13,551.6 ounces of doré with an official weight of 12,874.8 ounces, delivering 4,759.1 ounces of gold and 6,054.6 ounces of silver across multiple quarters.
