MTM Critical Metals (ASX:MTM), is rebranding to become Metallium after its debut trading on the OTCQX Best Market, upgrading from the OTCQB Venture Market, under the ticker symbol MTMCF.
The uplisting to the top tier of the OTC markets marks a milestone in MTM’s US capital markets strategy and enhances access for North American investors.
To qualify for the OTCQX, compares must meet stringent financial, governance, and compliance standards.
CEO Michael Walshe says this enables trading and settlement in US dollars during local market hours, removing friction for the growing US investor base.
“With development of our first US-based Flash Joule Heating facility underway in Texas and strategic partnerships continuing to gain traction, the timing of this upgrade couldn’t be better,” Walshe says.
“Moreover, as part of our broader US capital markets strategy, we are also reviewing the potential introduction of a Level I American Depositary Receipt (ADR) program to further enhance access for US investors.
“This complements our efforts to position Metallium as a leading US-based industrial technology company at the forefront of critical metal recovery and supply chain resilience.”
MTM, which has a market capitalisation of $331.4 million, is evaluating the potential establishment of a Level I ADR program.
An ADR program is a US-traded security that represents shares in a foreign company, providing investors with a more convenient and familiar way to gain exposure to offshore equities.
If implemented, an ADR program enables Metallium shares to be traded in US dollars and held through US brokerage accounts.
The company notes its name change to Metallium is currently underway, following shareholder approval at a recent extraordinary general meeting.
Metallium is focused on low-carbon, high-efficiency recovery of critical and precious metals, including gallium, germanium, antimony, rare earths, and gold.
