Mt Malcolm Mines (ASX:M2M) is planning further drilling at its wholly owned Golden Crown prospect after reverse circulation (RC) drilling results extended gold mineralisation 350m to the west.
The company completed 24 RC holes for 2,520m in July and August at Golden Crown, which forms part of the broader Malcolm Gold Project, located 10km east of Leonora in Western Australia.
Shallow intercepts include 6m @ 9.28 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 31m, including 1m @ 23.50g/t Au. Other key results yielded 9m @ 3.64g/t Au from 12m and 3m @ 5.78g/t Au from 13m.
According to Mt Malcolm, 22 of the 24 holes returned assays above 0.20g/t Au, while 17 hit intercepts at or above the 0.50g/t Au lower cut-off.
A five-hole western traverse spanning 320m extended mineralisation, with three holes returning assays above 0.30g/t Au. The standout intercept returned 1m @ 3.55g/t Au from 22m.
Mt Malcolm says this adds a 350m east-to-west corridor to the 150m-by-120m area drilled in 2024 and 2025.
The latest drilling also builds on previous results at Golden Crown, including 10m @ 15.40g/t Au from 10m and 94.3% average gold recovery in preliminary cyanide leach test work.
Managing Director Trevor Dixon says the results materially broaden the project’s exploration footprint.
“The western traverse has identified mineralisation […] outside the known mineralised corridor and generated compelling targets for follow-up drilling,” Dixon says.
Golden Crown hosts a mineral resource estimate of 95,700 tonnes at 1.50g/t Au for 4,600 ounces, reported on 12 March 2026. This does not yet include data from new drilling, Mt Malcolm says.
The company intends to update its 3D structural model to test whether new veins extend existing lodes. It will also prioritise step-out and infill drilling along the northwest trend and around the western holes for the next resource update.
Mt Malcolm Mines is a gold-focused explorer advancing its flagship Malcolm Project in WA’s Eastern Goldfields.
