Australian mining services firm Monadelphous (ASX:MND) has secured a ‘major’ $160 million contract to construct a Chemical Grade Plant 3 (CGP3) at Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes of Western Australia.
The $1.38 billion market capitalisation says under the new multidisciplinary contract will see the installation of a new crushing and screening facility and lithium concentrate processing plant.
This includes an associated tank and piping fabrication works, as well as electrical supply.
Work is expected to begin onsite later this year and is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2025.
Addressing the contract, Monadelphous Managing Director Zoran Bebic says: “We are delighted to have secured this key opportunity which further extends our participation in the development of Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes operations.”

This comes following an additional construction contract with American chemical manufacturer Albemarle, as announced by the company in July this year.
