Engineering company Monadelphous (ASX:MND) has secured new construction and maintenance contracts in the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors valued at $400 million.
The major has secured a seven-year contract, which has a three-year extension option, for Shell QGC’s Curtis Island operations in Gladstone, Queensland.
Monadelphous, which has a market capitalisation $1.51 billion, says the contract also adds brownfields project construction to its existing scope of midstream maintenance and turnaround services, which it has been providing to Shell since 2013.
Additionally, the company’s renewable energy joint venture with ZEM Energy, Zenviron, has secured a contract with EnergyAustralia to deliver a 350 megawatt Wooreen Battery Energy Storage System in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria.
The work will comprise balance-of-plant design, construction, installation, and commissioning, which is expected to be completed late next year.
In the iron ore sector, Monadelphous has been awarded a contract for structural remediation works at several of Rio Tinto’s (ASX:RIO) mine sites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The company expects to complete this work in early 2029.
Further, Monadelphous’ Victoria-based specialist electrical, mechanical, and civil services business BMC, has secured an additional outage contract at the Loy Yang B power station in Traralgon. The work is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.
The company has also been awarded a contract to complete compressor station upgrade works at Jemena’s Eastern Gas Pipeline reversal project, with works expected to be completed early next year.
Managing Director Zoran Bebic says since the beginning of this financial year, Monadelphous has secured over $2 billion in new contracts and contract extensions, highlighting the strong and diverse order book across a broad range of commodity markets and the renewable energy sector.
