Minrex delivers ‘high-grade’ gold at Tlamino

Minrex Resources (ASX:MRR) has reported grades of up to 11.74 grams per tonne gold equivalent (AuEq) from the first 10 holes of its 2026 infill drilling program at the Tlamino Gold-Silver Project in Serbia.

The result came from hole BAR033, which intersected 2.5m @ 11.74g/t AuEq from 29.4m. The hole reached a total depth of just 41.6m.

At the eastern edge of the Barje deposit, hole BAR040 returned 11.4m @ 1.09g/t AuEq from surface and 10.6m @ 4.04g/t AuEq from 37.1m, including 2.5m @ 10.05g/t AuEq.

Nine of the 10 holes drilled within the resource envelope intersected goldsilver mineralisation at depths and grades broadly consistent with Minrex’s geological model.

CEO Max Piirto says the results support the company’s interpretation of Barje’s shallow mineralised system.

“Barje is the cornerstone of Tlamino, but it is only one outcropping expression of a much larger hydrothermal system,” Piirto says.

“This first tranche of results confirm the deposit behaves as modelled, with high-grade mineralisation from surface in the east and grade continuity through the breccia core that underpins the resource.”

Barje hosts a foreign inferred mineral resource estimate of 7.1 million tonnes @ 2.9g/t AuEq for 670,000 ounces, including 470,000 ounces @ 4.7g/t AuEq within the ‘high-grade’ breccia zone.

The estimate was prepared under Canada’s National Instrument 43-101 and has not been classified in accordance with the JORC Code.

Minrex says it has expanded its 2026 greenfield program to about 5,500m, taking planned resource delineation and exploration drilling at Tlamino to approximately 9,000m.

The expanded campaign will test the Barje-Liska corridor, where the company interprets the structural setting hosting Barje to continue beneath shallow cover. Assays from another 14 holes are pending and expected in September.

Minrex is an Australian gold and copper explorer with exploration and development assets across Serbia and Australia.
