MinRex Resources (ASX:MRR) and Electrum Discovery (TSX-V:ELY) have completed a merger, creating an ASX-listed gold and copper explorer focused on developing assets with “significant gold endowment”.
MinRex has acquired 100% of Electrum’s shares to combine the companies’ portfolios. The merged company now owns Electrum’s Tlamino Gold Project and Timok East Copper-Gold Project in Serbia, along with MinRex’s Sofala Gold Project in New South Wales.
Electrum shareholders received 7.9 MinRex shares for each share held upon completion of this merger.
Electrum is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Minrex, which will focus on scaling the Tlamina Gold Project, while also unlocking district discovery across greater assets in Serbia and Australia. Electrum is expected to de-list from the TSX-V at market close on Tuesday 14 April 2026.
The completion of this merger has resulted in Elana Clarici joining the MinRex board. Clarici is a co-founder of Electrum who has over 25 years of mining experience.
MinRex Resources is an Australian-based gold and copper explorer focused on developing its portfolio of projects.
