Exploration and development company MetalsGrove Mining (ASX:MGA) has begun a maiden drilling program at the Bruce rare earth element (REE) prospect in the Northern Territory.
The program will comprise 2,000m of drilling to test several high-priority targets, including multiple high-priority carbonatite and REE-bearing drill targets that were recently reported from soil sampling.
Additionally, a recent aeromagnetic and surface geochemistry program has defined a 1,000m-by-600m intrusive system, considered to be ‘highly’ prospective for REE mineralisation, at the prospect.

Once drilling has been completed, the company will continue detailed geophysical data interpretation east and west of the project area, which will further enhance its geological interpretation.
MetalsGrove will also continue follow-up drilling and geological geochemical analyses.
The Bruce REE prospect is located within the Central Desert region of the Northern Territory and covers an area of about 17,722 hectares.
